NetpapSync Privacy Policy

Netpap Global (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) operates the NetpapSync Android application (“the App”), published on Google Play as com.netpap.sync. This policy explains what the App collects, why, who receives it, and what choices you have.

Please read section 2 carefully. NetpapSync can be set as your device’s default SMS app, which gives it broad access to the messages on your phone.

1. What the App does

Messaging. When set as your default SMS app, NetpapSync sends and receives text messages, lists your conversations, and shows notifications for incoming messages.
Business message relay. For Netpap platform users, messages queued from your Netpap dashboard are sent from this device’s SIM, and the delivery result is reported back to your Netpap account.
Bulk sending. You can import a contact list as a CSV or XLSX file and send a batch of messages from the device.

2. SMS and messaging data

Android grants the default SMS app access to all SMS on the device. Specifically, while NetpapSync is your default SMS app it:

receives every incoming SMS and writes it to the device’s message store — Android requires the default SMS app to do this, otherwise your messages would not be saved at all;
reads your existing SMS in order to display your conversation list and message threads;
sends SMS, both messages you type and messages queued from your Netpap dashboard.

Message content and delivery status are transmitted to Netpap servers so that they appear in your Netpap dashboard. Transmission uses an authenticated, TLS-encrypted connection (wss://).

Contact lists you import for bulk sending are processed on the device only and are not uploaded to Netpap servers.

3. Other information we collect

4. Third parties

The App uses the following third-party services, which receive some of the data listed above:

Mixpanel — product analytics. Receives app interaction events and your device identifier.
Sentry — crash and error reporting. Receives crash logs and diagnostic information.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Retention

SMS content relayed through the Netpap platform is deleted after 30 days.
Messages stored in your device’s message store remain on the device until you delete them, or until you uninstall the App and remove its data.

6. Security

All communication between the App and Netpap servers is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Access to the Netpap platform requires authentication.

7. Your choices

Stop being the default SMS app. Android Settings → Default apps → SMS app. Once another app is the default, NetpapSync can no longer read or receive your messages.
Revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → NetpapSync → Permissions.
Request deletion of data held on Netpap servers by emailing us at the address below.
Uninstall the App to remove its locally stored data from the device.

8. Children

The App is a business tool and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
